List of products by brand FANATEC
Endor, based in Landshut / Bavaria, was founded in 1997 by Thomas Jackermeier, who turned his hobby into his profession. As an active player in early PC games, he quickly recognized the critical role that input devices would play in performance, reality, and fun. During the 90s, the choice between what was available in high-end devices was very limited. Thomas decided to give up his wholesale bike shop, a start-up business that he had used to fund his educational degree during his time at the University of Regensburg while obtaining his Master of Business Administration. After his studies, he bought the company AB-Union, which became Endor Ltd., which would later become Endor AG.
The products developed were never unique under the Endor name, but under the Fanatec® brand, providing Endor with the necessary flexibility to be able to introduce new brands in different markets as desired.
At first, Endor sold a variety of PC products such as the legendary joystick: "Game Commander" / "Alpha Twin" or the official "Command & Conquer Mission Controller" trackball. Wheels also played a decisive role early on in the product planning stages.
After the successful launch of the "Le Mans" wheel for PC, the company developed its first officially licensed wheel for PlayStation: the "Speedster 2". This wheel was marketed directly by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) worldwide and was Endor's first blockbuster product. We extend our excellent relationship with SCEE even further with the "Speedster 3" wheel and the ° G play controllers.
Endor also worked closely with Turn10 to develop the first Forza Motorsport racing game wheel for Xbox. The "Porsche 911 Turbo S" and "Porsche 911 GT2" steering wheels were, for a long time, the only ones that were capable of being used with the Force Feedback function of the Xbox 360 and set new standards in terms of performance, features and compatibility. In fact, in 2011, the first licensed Forza Motorsport wheels, known as "CSR" and "CSR Elite" wheels, were introduced, ushering in an entirely new era in the console space.
Over time, Endor not only developed an excellent relationship with the console manufacturers, but also with the most well-known and exclusive automakers in the world. Consequently, it was a great honor when we obtained the exclusive rights from Porsche to develop an officially licensed wheel, one that is unique in the sense that it is the only product in the world that displays the Porsche logo but is not distributed directly. for them. Over time, replica steering wheels were developed that remained true to the original for the console and PC domains of „Porsche 911 Turbo S“, „Porsche 911 GT3 RS“, „Porsche 911 GT2“ and „Porsche . Career ". Flash drives and PC mice are among the products Endor manufactures for Porsche.
The next well-known manufacturer that Endor was lucky enough to be able to work with was BMW. BMW is famous for its excellent German quality (Germaneering) and was an ideal partner for Endor. Consequently, the "BMW M3 GT2" wheel is no longer just a toy, it is a faithful replica of the original from the rally car championships.
After going public in 2006, the company restructured and aligned itself again. Since then, our Fanatec® brand has been completely focused on the virtual racing markets (SimRacing) and now offers a wide variety of products for this market segment such as steering wheels, high quality pedals, paddle shifters, cabs and much more. All these products are available in Europe, North America and since 2012 also in Australia and Japan. As the combination of advanced technology, features and quality is the foundation of Endor's past success, it will continue to define it for years to come.
